I obviously can’t escape my nicknames. My Ochem lab TA has already rechristened me “T-Tran”.
Except nobody calls me “Tom”. The closest they come is “Tom-tom”. But the big tall guy at work is called, “Tom”. Which led me to propose that nicknames are prone to those of small stature. I mean you don’t call a 200-lbs, 6’5″ supervisor “Tom-tom”. That’s what you call the short kid who can’t see the top shelf of the pizza cart. I’m not offended as the nicknames could very well be a sign of acceptance or familiarity as much as anything else, but I’m just noticing it is all.
Do you want to be called Tom?
all these dylan references!!! tommy, i thought we were friends!
Don’t talk to me about undesired nicknames. I’m tall!
I guess we just know where loyalties lie Chris. But I am offended that I am not a person of small stature, and that one of my nicknames is in the title. Kinda contradicts itself?
