Skirt

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

There is a logical progression of thought that occurs when a guy discovers a size XL skirt in his dorm room.

Scary Scarier Scariest
His roommate has had a girl in there. He stole a girl’s skirt. The skirt belongs to his roommate.

I think it turned out to be a kilt and/or Halloween costume.

At least I’m not called “Dilbo”

I obviously can’t escape my nicknames. My Ochem lab TA has already rechristened me “T-Tran”.

Except nobody calls me “Tom”. The closest they come is “Tom-tom”. But the big tall guy at work is called, “Tom”. Which led me to propose that nicknames are prone to those of small stature. I mean you don’t call a 200-lbs, 6’5″ supervisor “Tom-tom”. That’s what you call the short kid who can’t see the top shelf of the pizza cart. I’m not offended as the nicknames could very well be a sign of acceptance or familiarity as much as anything else, but I’m just noticing it is all.
