My SAT scores finally came back. Coincidentally, all the scores were multiples of fifty.
Moving on, I’ve come to the conclusion that I like physics more than chem, but I don’t know why. Chem is more fun, and explosive.
I’m riding the edge between A and B in both classes. One thing I am sure of is that I don’t like labs. I generally don’t like chem labs, but I really don’t like physics labs. (Probably because of the early morning hour.)
The main difference between physics and chem is that understanding of physics is boolean. You either get it or you don’t. After cresting the “apex of confusion”, it all comes rushing into your head in a logical deluge. With chem, there’s a sliding scale of confusion.
I think the main reason is that chem is at the end of the day, and by then, I’m grumpy because I haven’t had my afternoon nap. If the day were flipped (chem first, physics last), I think things would be different; I would like chem more.
On another note, I’ll be experiencing my first Black Friday in two days. Till this year, I’ve just slept in and observed Mom come staggering through the door at 9AM to collapse in exhaustion on the sofa after a four hour (metaphoric) excursion to hell and back. I won’t know where I’ll be going until tomorrow, when the sales papers come.
Wherever I do go, there will be chaos. And I’ll be ready. With riot gear.
